  BIRD WATCHING
Navarra is a fantastic place for bird watching or birding , because it is a stopover for migrating birds and because of the wide variety of climates and areas: marshes, forests, riverbeds and steppe.

The Laguna de Pitillas is a marsh located near the hotel. It has a wide variety of species of birds and the best season for bird watching is between October and May. It is possible to observe great egret, crane and several duck species (cuchara, azulado, colorao, etc.).

As mentioned above, the Arga-Aragón riverbed is near the hotel and it is a well-known bird watching site. It is a pleasant and highly successful place to observe the dipper and kingfisher.

The steppe in the Bardenas Reales is another recommended area for observing species like the black-bellied sand grouse, DuPont lark, black-eared wheatear, etc. and has an observatory for birds of prey in the Balcón de Pilatos.
